Workshop Challenge

One of the fun things we did at our
workshop was complete a little card
challenge.
I gave everyone a little kit of card stock
and paper together with the latest Mojo
Monday card sketch.  Everyone
came up with their own version of the
sketch.

Here are 4 of the different cards
that were made.  Love how each one is
so different.  I was the only one who
actually followed the sketch literally.

Everyone enjoyed the challenge and have
requested another challenge for next month's
workshop.

Mojo Monday Challenge No. 329

Well I think I am doing extremely well with my New Year's Resolutions so far.

Third week in a row for completing the Mojo Monday Card Challenges.

For this card I wanted to  try out some of the new  Washi Tape which will be available in the new Occasions Catalogue as well as one of my favourite new stamp sets from the new Catalogue - Peaceful Petals.

I had decided on a very simple colour scheme which is used in  the beautiful Modern Medley Designer Series Paper.

Although this stamp is great to watercolour I wasn't feeling like water colouring today.

Instead of having the circle in the middle, as per the sketch, I decided to just attach the flowers.  I stamped the flowers twice and fussy cut the middle part and raised with dimensionals  to give the flowers more interest.

The sentiment used is also from the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set and was punched with a circle punch.  Some small pearls were attached to the centres of the flowers to finish off.

Products used:

Cardstock - Basic Black and Very Vanilla
Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (Item No. 126926 - $18.95 for 12 sheets)
Peaceful Petals Stamp Set (Item No. 133104 woodmount - $49.95 or Item No. 133107 clearmount - $39.95) - available in new Occasions Catalogue from 28 January 2014
Watercolour Wonder Designer Washi Tape (Item No. 133000 - $8.95) available in new catalogue
Ink Pad - Black Stazon Ink Pad  (Item No. 101406) - $13.95
1" Circle Punch - (Item No. 119868) - $18.95
1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch (Item No. 127811) - $27.95
Small pearls from my own collection

MOJO MONDAY CARD SKETCH CHALLENGE NO. 328 and PAPER PLAYERS CHALLENGE 178

I am feeling very pleased with myself.

I have finished another Card Challenge.   My second card challenge for the year.

This time I decided to combine two challenges together being the current Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 328 and  the current The Paper Players Challenge #178

In the  Mojo Monday Challenge you had to create a card from the sketch and Paper Players required us to use the following colours - Primrose Petals, Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry.

I really wasn't too sure about the colour combination as I find I really don't use Primrose Petals much and I am not a big fan of Crushed Curry.  However, I am really pleased with the results.  Used another stamp set and a die cut from the upcoming new Occasions catalogue.

MOJO MONDAY CARD CHALLENGE NO 327

Okay I am on a roll.  I thought while I am busy creating new samples with some of the gorgeous new goodies I have just received in my order I may as well combine this with some challenges as well.

So this one is for Mojo Monday Challenge 327.  This is the sketch we needed to follow.

And here is my version.

A couple of new products used here but I shall be back to tell you a bit more about them soon.

Mojo Monday Challenge 231

Here is the card I have created for Mojo Monday 231 Challenge.  Again I have used the Sale-a-Bration DSP Everyday Enchantment - I just love this paper.   I created the scallops on my circle by punching out a strip of paper with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, running this through the crimper and then attaching to the edge of my circle.  This gives a beautiful edging to the circle.  I have created the flowers using both the small scallop punch and small circles.

Mojo Monday Challenge 229

Here is my latest card for the Mojo Monday 229 Challenge.  I really enjoyed playing around with this card.  I decided to use the Well Worn DSP as I had a few bits of this paper cut up from my class held the previous day and thought why not use it up.

I think it turned out to be another great male card so now I have a few male cards all ready to go.

Supplies used:  River Rock and Early Espresso Cardstock, Well Worn DSP, Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess) and French Foliage Stamp Sets, Early Espresso Ink and Soft Suede Ink for sponging, Vintage Trinket Brads, Mini Library Clip and Early Espresso Bakers Twine.

If you are wondering where I used the French Foliage Stamp I stamped the large leaf in Versamark Ink on the small River Rock piece before stamping the birthday greeting over the top.  I am also finding that I am finding the Bakers Twine for male cards very useful, so I shall have to stock up on these before the Summer Mini ends.
