EASTER CARDS

Today I am sharing some Easter cards I have created for a special order.

My first two cards are the traditional Easter Bunny cards using the very cute Best Bunny Stamp Set.  The bunny and the eggs I have coloured with the Blends Markers.

On this card I stamped the Hopping By sentiment directly onto the card and then had my bunny ears cover up the word "Hi".  I then stamped a separate Happy Easter sentiment which I added to the card.

As I don't really have too many Easter Stamp Sets in my collection you will also see that I have used a couple of retired stamp sets also to compliment these cards.

My next card is a simple floral Easter themed card using the Petal Palette Stamp Set and the Stitched Rectangles.

My final two cards needed to have a religious theme and as I didn't have any religious Easter stamp sets at all I decided to create my own version of a cross using one of the dies from the Petals & More Thinlets Dies.

Again, I have used a few retired stamp sets and punches etc to complete my cards.

Some of the products I used to the create these cards are here:

I JUST ADORE YOU

The card I am sharing today I think could be used as a sweet Valentine's Day card, although I didn't create this card with Valentine's Day in mind.

When I was creating samples with the Incredible Like You stamp set for my Open House I wanted to use some different colour combinations to what I had previously used.

I ended up choosing Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.

Here is a little closer look at the stamped colour combo.

I find that I always seem to gravitate towards using Whisper White Cardstock for my stamping so I challenged myself to use Very Vanilla Cardstock instead.

The base card is Night of Navy with a Very Vanilla layer onto which I have stamped the stripes in Night of Navy and the leaves in Garden Green.  The small accents have been stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

The larger flowers have been stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a separate piece of Very Vanilla and fussy cut out.  The sentiment "I Just Adore You" has been stamped in Night of Navy and die cut out with one of the cute frame dies from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.  All of these pieces have then been mounted over the images stamped on the Very Vanilla Layer (as shown in the photos) with dimensionals.

To complete the card I stamped the dots alternatively with Night of Navy and Garden Green along the bottom of the card and then the completed stamped piece was adhered to the base card.

I love the way these colours compliment each other and I am very pleased with the way this card turned out.

Not only is this stamp stamp fantastic for creating beautiful cards by itself, it is also the co-ordinating stamp set for the Incredible Like You Project Kit where you can make 16 beautiful cards from this kit.

The kit includes instructions and also a reusable storage envelope.

Can't wait to get this kit myself to create some really beautiful cards without a lot of fuss.  Stampin'Up! just makes it so easy for every crafter.

JUST ADD INK CHALLENGE #442I

Today's card is one that I have created for the latest Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge.

For my card I chose to use some of the new products I had received in my latest order -  the Happy Tails Stamp set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  Probably not two products you would automatically put together, but they were sitting on my table and I thought why not.

I also wanted to create a nice bright card so chose to use the colours of Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel.

The dog and his bone were stamped in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock with the dog being punched out with the co-ordinating punch.  The bone was fussy cut out.  Friends Forever was stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and trimmed to a small rectangle.

Various dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies were used to create the heart pieces in Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel cardstock.

To complete the card, all the pieces were layered, as shown in the photo, over a small piece of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.

February Blogging Friends Blog Hop

I am very excited to take part in my first ever blog hop with Blogging Friends.  Thank you for joining me here.  I am from the sunny Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

The theme of this hop is Sale-a-Bration and Case the Designer.  I have chosen to use the Hello Cupcake Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set.

I was a little stumped for what colours I wanted to use so decided to use one of those colour inspiration sites which gave me the colours of Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green,  Melon Mambo and Whisper White.

I am so pleased I went with these colours as they all went together so very nicely.

My base card is Night of Navy.  Second layer is Granny Apple Green (14.5 cm x 10 cm) and Whisper White Layer (14 cm x 9.5 cm).

I have stamped the sentiment "Celebrate Your Day!" in Melon Mambo at the top left hand side of the White layer.

Next I have stamped the "sprinkles" stamp across the lower portion of the White layer using Granny Apple Green ink.

I have die cut a stitched circle from Granny Apple Green cardstock (to save on cardstock I die cut this circle from the centre of the Granny Apple Green layer.

On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock stamp the Frosting in Melon Mambo Ink.  Using a Blender Pen or Aqua Painter move a little of the Melon Mambo ink around the frosting.  Using Granny Apple Green ink stamp the sprinkles on the frosting and the small layer directly under the frosting.  Fussy cut out.

Stamp the cupcake wrapper in Soft Suede and also fussy cut out.

Put your card together by adhering a piece of ribbon (as shown in the photo) over the top of the stamped sprinkles and then the Granny Apple Green diecut circle over the top with dimensionals.

Adhere the two pieces of the cupcake together and adhere the Whisper White Twine to the back of the cupcake piece.  Using dimensionals adhere this piece to the circle.

Adhere the completed Whisper White layer using snail to the Granny Apple Green layer and then the whole completed piece to the base card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and thank you for visiting.  Please continue on through the hop to see all the wonderful projects created.
