Today I am sharing the card I created for the The Paper Players Challenge.
This was a challenge where we had to create a one layer only Valentine card.
I found it so hard sticking to just the one layer, somehow just doesn't seem enough.
I started with a base card of white and then just basically stamped the hearts from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set in the colours of Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana.
It seemed a little too plain to me so I added in some light stamping of some stamps from Gorgeous Grunge - my favourite stamps for creating backgrounds.
What do you all think? Do you like Clean and Simple with only one layer, or are you a layers girl. I can definitely say, I like my layers.
It was a very quick and easy card to put together once I decided on which stamps and colours I wanted to use and it would be easy to create many different cards just by changing the colours.

MOJO MONDAY CARD SKETCH CHALLENGE NO. 328 and PAPER PLAYERS CHALLENGE 178

I have finished another Card Challenge. My second card challenge for the year.
This time I decided to combine two challenges together being the current Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 328 and the current The Paper Players Challenge #178.
In the Mojo Monday Challenge you had to create a card from the sketch and Paper Players required us to use the following colours - Primrose Petals, Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry.
I really wasn't too sure about the colour combination as I find I really don't use Primrose Petals much and I am not a big fan of Crushed Curry. However, I am really pleased with the results. Used another stamp set and a die cut from the upcoming new Occasions catalogue.

Paper Players Challenge #113
I have created today's card for Paper Players #113 - Clean and Simple Challenge from Nance . When I saw this challenge I thought perfect, I can use the Petite Pennants Builder punch, which made creating the banner so easy. I have also used my favourite Christmas Paper from the Be of Good Cheer DSP range. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Stamp Set - Tags til Christmas, Punches - Petite Pennants Builder and Small Oval, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Mini Brads, Pearls

Paper Players Challenge - Clean and Simple #109
Today's card has been inspired by the latest challenge on the The Paper Players Blogspot.
The challenge was to create a clean and simple project and to incorporate paper piecing.
I have used the flower from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set for my paper piecing. I stamped the large and small flowers from this set in black onto the Comfort Cafe DSP and then cut them out. I added some glass glitter to the centres to make them sparkle.
I am so pleased that this stamp set is returning in the new Catalogue, as it is one of my favourite flower stamp sets.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla, Comfort Cafe DSP, Inkpads - Basic Black, Midnight Muse, Old Olive, Stamp Sets - Fabulous Florets and Itty Bitty Banners, Champagne Glass Glitter, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits Dies

Paper Players Colour Challenge #99

I thought these would be really lovely colours together and really enjoyed playing around with them. As I also wanted to make some quick and easy sample cards with the Reason to Smile Stamp Set I decided to create one of my sample cards using this challenge as inspiration. This stamp set is exclusive for one month only and can be purchased for $35.95 wood mount or $28.95 clear mount or you can receive this stamp set FREE if you place an order during June for $125 (excluding postage & handling).
I stamped the flowers in the various colours with some overlapping and off the edge. I also stamped the butterfly and frame from one of my other very favourite stamp sets - Creative Elements, cut them out and pop dotted them. The sentiment is from the Field Flowers.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Basic Gray, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Inkpads - Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade and Basic Gray, Stamp Sets - Reason to Smile, Creative Elements, Field Flowers, Punch - Scallop Trim Border, Gemstones
