JUST ADD INK CHALLENGE #485 JUST ADD ONE LAYER

Hello and welcome.  Thank you for checking out my blog post today.

Today I have been working on creating samples for the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set Little Ladybug and decided to also get some inspiration by taking part in Just Add Ink's latest challenge "Just Add One Layer".

I do find creating one layer cards a bit of a challenge,  however, this card (and co-ordinating envelope) would have to be the easiest card I have created lately, especially as I used our great notecards and envelopes as well.

So simply stamp your chosen images and sentiment in Black Memento Ink and colour with Blends Markers.  Draw a line around the edges of the card with your Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, and you are done.

This stamp set will only be available to hosts only during Sale-a-Bration period.  Please contact me if you would like more information on how to earn this stamp set during Sale-a-Bration.

If you would like to purchase any of the great products (with the exception of the stamp set) I have used to create this project here is the link for the list of products.

Also, don't forget to use my DECEMBER HOSTESS CODE when placing your order as all orders will receive the monthly Creative Stampers Tutorial as a PDF Tutorial by  Email.

There are some amazing projects in this month's Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundle.

Thanks for dropping by.

JUST FOR FUN OCTOBER CHALLENGE

Sharing today the card I have created for my Just For Fun October Challenge using this image for inspiration.

For the bird image I have fussy cut a bird from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I thought this little bird fitted perfectly with the colours.

The base card is Flirty Flamingo.  The next layer is Coastal Cabana which I have embossed with the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder and then torn the edges.  The image has been mounted on Pretty Peacock die cut with the Stitched Labels Dies.

I have completed the card with some Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon and Faceted Dots.

The full list of products used are here:

JUST ADD INK CHALLENGE #451 ... "INSPIRATION"

Today's card has been created as part of this week's Just Add Ink Challenge #451 "Inspiration".

This photo and the colours are just gorgeous and just my sort of colours.  I really, really, really love the soft colour palette.

Here is the card I created:

My inspiration came from the colours and I knew instantly I wanted to use Mint Macaron and Powder Pink.

I wanted to create something with a very soft and pretty feel so the stamp set I chose to use is His Grace from the Occasions Catalogue.  I originally bought this set so I would have a religious set I could create Easter cards with, however, the flower and leaves image is so versatile that it can be used for any occasion.

Steps to create this card were:

  1. Using Mint Macaron ink stamp the flower and leaves image twice on to the Whisper White layer.  Using a Blender Pen I lightly coloured the leaves with Mint Macaron Ink and the flowers in Powder Pink Ink.
  2. Die cut two different size hearts and "Happy" from Mint Macaron Cardstock and "Birthday" and a Butterfly from Powder Pink Cardstock.
  3. Adhere the small heart at the bottom left flat and the larger heart at the top right with dimensionals.
  4. Adhere the "Happy Birthday" and Butterfly as shown in the photo.
  5. Add some diamantes to the body of the Butterfly.
  6. Adhere the Whisper White layer to the Powder Pink layer flat and then to the Mint Macaron Base Card with dimensionals.

These are the supplies I have used:

APRIL CHALLENGE

JUST FOR FUN CHALLENGE

I have decided to start a fun monthly challenge.  For this month I have chosen this gorgeous photo as inspiration.

I would love it if you would like to create a card, scrapbook page or 3D project to share with us all.

If you complete a project and forward a photo to me through my Facebook Page I will share with everyone on my Blog, Facebook Page and Pinterest.

JUST ADD INK CHALLENGE #450

The cards I am sharing with you today are ones that I created for the latest Just Add Ink Challenge where you had to "Just Add Babies".

I don't have a lot of Baby Themed stamp sets in my collection so I thought this was a perfect time to pull out the gorgeous A Little Wild stamp set and create a couple of baby cards for my stash.

For my first card I have used the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper and created a simple Baby Boy Card.

I have taken the colours from the DSP - so my base card is Night of Navy.

The stitched circles have been die cut from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP.  I have also added in a little strip of the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper and some Whisper White Twine.

The elephant has been coloured with Smoky Slate Blends.  The sentiment has been stamped in Night of Navy.

After completing the Baby Boy card I decided I should also create a Baby Girl card using the same design.

Again I have used the Twinkle Twinkle DSP and chosen my base colour of Petal Pink from the colour palette of the DSP.

Again I have die cut some Stitched Circles from theDSP and added some Scalloped Circles for a pretty feminine look.

I have also die cut one of the Delicate Lace Borders from DSP.

This time I stamped the bear and coloured it with the Crumb Cake Blends and the light Pumpkin Pie Blend for the little bee.

The sentiment has been stamped in Smoky Slate and Whisper White Twine has also been added.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog today.  If you would like to create either of these cards, here is the supply list:
