Gift for Chicks at the Flicks

This is what I have created for my donation gift for this month's Chicks at the Flicks.  I loved the colours in the Parker's Patterns Designer Series Paper available in the Seasonal Catalogue and as I haven't been able to do much creating lately decided I would have a little play with these papers.

The lucky recipient will receive this cute little gift bag, notebook and matching pen and decorated bag of Easter Eggs (of course being Easter it goes without saying that there must be Easter Eggs included).

Now that I look back at the project I see I didn't do very much stamping at all, just the little tag for the bag of Easter Eggs.  Probably a good thing because finding my stamps in all my packed boxes is not easy.

Easter Cards

Aren't these just the cutest little Easter Bunny cards.  I was having a little look around Pinterest yesterday for some Easter inspiration and came across these little cuties (from Stampin Rox My Fuzzy Blue Sox - I just loved the name).  They were originally created as little gift bags.  I fell in love with the cute little design so I decided to case them and make them into little gift cards instead.  They have been created with the Two Tags Die and punches.  I forgot to take a photo but you can open them up and write a little message inside and they also stand up quite nicely by themselves.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Black, Two Tags Die, Punches - Large Oval, 1" Circle, 1/2" Circle, Itty Bitty Circle, Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Pink and Green 1/4" Grossgrain Ribbon (now retired).

Easter Gifts

Well we are still in limbo waiting to see when, or even whether, we are moving.  So I decided I had to unpack a few things to get started on my Easter gifts and Mother's Day gifts.

Here are a few of the little gift bags I had created for Easter.  There are two sizes with one holding one Easter egg and the larger size holding two Easter eggs.  These would have to be one of my most favourite little gift bags to create and can be used for almost any purpose.  Again these bags I have created with the free Sale-a-Bration papers and ribbons.  I will be sad to see this paper go as I really love these colours.

These little gift bags are destined for the next Chicks at the Flicks at Pacific Fair next Wednesday evening.

Male Birthday Card

This month in Stamp Club one of the cards we created was a male birthday card.  I have always found male cards difficult to come up with, but having received the Clockworks Stamp Set at the Heartfelt Event recently and deciding to base my card on the samples that Stampin'Up! had created I was very happy with the way this card turned out.  For something a little different I stamped around the outside edge of the More Mustard layer (rather than inking) just to give a little bit more colour and I think the illusion of more texture.  I also crumpled my main piece once it had been stamped and distressed the edges to give more texture.  The clock I have popped up to make it stand out a little more.  I also started off with a couple of the colours that Stampin'Up! had chosen of More Mustard and Pool Party and then complimented these colours with Early Espresso.

So that's one male card created, lots more to go.
