Sketches with a Twist

Now that I have had a go at a couple of card challenges I decided it was time to tackle a page layout challenge.

This is the sketch from Sketches with a Twist that I created this page for.  The twist was you had to use something green.

I have used punches to create my pennants and some stamping.  To give the decorative edge around the blue DSP I used two different size circle punches and randomly punched around the edge.  Instead of using a scallop punch for the bottom scallop I decided to randomly handcut a scallop edge.

I loved doing this challenge and shall definitely be finding some more challenges to try in the future.  I think I am definitely hooked on doing these challenges now.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Riding Hood Red, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla,  DSP - Cheerful Treat (Hostess) and Pacific Point Pattern Paper from Brights Paper Stack, Stamp Set - Pennant Parade, Inkpads - Pear Pizzazz and Riding Hood Red, Punches - Decorative Label, Petite Pennants Builder, Small Oval and Circles, Sizzix Dies - Buttons and Timeless Type Alphabet, Sale-a-Bration Ribbon, Small Blue Brad, Red Letter Stickers from Kaisercraft (the only thing not SU)

  4. Tracey what a fabulously fun layout you have created, the red background really pops your gorgeous photos of your daughter at play. I really love the way you have your title going across the page and on your flag as it draws the eye around the whole page. Thanks so much for joining us at Sketches with a Twist.
