Beautiful Card I Have Cased

I was surfing the internet yesterday afternoon looking for some inspiration for some very simple but stunning card ideas and came across this gorgeous design from Stamp and Scrap with Maureen.  This was the original version which I fell in love with.

So this morning I have cased this beautiful card changing the colours from Pool Party and White to Poppy Parade and Very Vanilla.

Just gorgeous and I hope the recipient loves it as much as I do.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Very Vanilla and Poppy Parade, Inkpads - Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake, Stamp Sets - Fresh Vintage (SAB Set) and Sincere Salutations, Ribbon - Poppy Parade, Punches - Scallop Oval and Large Oval

Scrap a Page Thursday Challenge

Well Tuesdays are now my official scrapbooking days.  Every Tuesday for the last approximately 6 years I have had my lovely ladies over to do their scrapbooking.

Up until now I never actually sat down and did any scrapping myself as when they started out they had very little experience and I helped them complete their pages.

However, I have decided that one of my new years resolutions is that I will do more scrapping and as my ladies are now more than capable of  doing their own "thing" Tuesdays have become the perfect day to do so.

So today I completed the latest challenge at Scrap a Page Thursdays.  This challenge blog is run by my friend Heidi and is open to everyone, so if you would like to have some fun with your scrapbooking take a journey to Scrap a Page Thursday and join in.  These challenges are great for getting your motivated.

It is a bit hard to tell from the photo but I have stamped some images from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and I have also die cut my large heading and embossed the letters and tied small bits of the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon around the T's of the heading.   I have also created a tag for my journalling which I have embellished with stamping, lace and flowers.  The flower in the top right hand corner is actually the Doily Triple Layer punch pieces (3) just scrunched with a brad in the middle and some ribbon and lace attached.  Easy and looks cute.

Supplies used:  Free Sale-a-Bration products - Everyday Enchantment DSP & Ribbons and Brads and Fresh Vintage Stamp Set, Cardstock - Calypso Coral and Pool Party, Inkpad - Soft Suede, Punches - Doily Triple Layer and Boho Blossoms, In Colour Brad, Vintage Trinkets Safety Pin and Brads, Mini Vintage Tag, Victoria Crochet Trim

A Little Bit of Scrapbooking

As in my previous post, thanks to my friend Heidi, I have also been doing a bit of scrapbooking as she has started up a blog called Scrap a Page Thursdays and I have decided that I will start getting some more scrapbooking done by challenging myself to have a page done by every Thursday.  Unfortunately, my scrapbooking has taken a bit of a backseat to my cardmaking of late but this is all about to change.  So here is my page for this week.

I have just received some of the new Sale-a-Bration stamp sets, papers and embellishments and couldn't wait to try them out.  I have also got a bit of a crocheting fetish at the moment and have been crocheting lots of little flowers that I can use in my cards and scrapbooking - I have used a couple of these on my page.  I was not a fan of the colour Calypso Coral when it was first introduced by Stampin'Up! but now I love it.  My photo really doesn't show how nice it is.

Supplies used for this page were Calypso Coral and Baja Breeze Cardstock, I stamped on scraps of Confetti White Cardstock, Elementary Elegance and Fresh Vintage Stamp Sets, Everyday Enchantment DSP, Everyday Enchantment Brads and Ribbons, Calypso Coral Inkpad, Antique Brads, Victoria Lace, Vintage Trinket Safety Pin, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Dies

Thanks so much for looking.
