April Stamp Club

These are the cards we will be creating in Stamp Club this month.

I have used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack in both of these cards.

Both of these products are in the Seasonal Catalogue which is still available until the end of June.

You can also see the gorgeous little flower trim on my Thoughts of You Card.  Again this flower trim is available in the Seasonal Catalogue.  It is gorgeous and I have been using it so much lately.

I have seen lately a number of different styles of cards using the Honeycomb pattern and this is my version.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Not Quite Navy, Naturals White, Inkpads - Not Quite Navy, Stamp Sets - Loving Thoughts, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Vanilla Flower Trim, Rhinestone

For this card I decided to use the pattern in the Designer Series Paper as a feature.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Rose Red, Inkpads - Rose Red, Old Olive, Stamp Sets - Elements of Style, Fabulous Florets, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack

Another "Fabulous Florets" Card

Whilst I was playing around creating my card for The Paper Players Challenge I had stamped some extra flowers which I had decided not to use for that particular project.  Couldn't let them go to waste, so here is another card created with the same principle and using some of the new In-Colours of Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit together with the gorgeous Comfort Cafe DSP.

I have just received the Comfort Cafe DSP which was in my pre-order and I think this is going to be one of my real favourites for this catalogue.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Summer Starfruit, Midgnight Muse and Very Vanilla, Inkpads - Midnight Muse and Old Olive, Stamp Sets - Fabulous Florets and Bring on the Cake, Comfort Cafe DSP, Decorative Label Punch, Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Dazzling Diamonds

Paper Players Challenge - Clean and Simple #109

Today's card has been inspired by the latest challenge on the  The Paper Players Blogspot.

The challenge was to create a clean and simple project and to incorporate paper piecing.

I have used the flower from the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set for my paper piecing.    I stamped the large and small flowers from this set in black onto the Comfort Cafe DSP and then cut them out.  I added some glass glitter to the centres to make them sparkle.

I am so pleased that this stamp set is returning in the new Catalogue, as it is one of my favourite flower stamp sets.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla, Comfort Cafe DSP, Inkpads - Basic Black, Midnight Muse, Old Olive, Stamp Sets - Fabulous Florets and Itty Bitty Banners, Champagne Glass Glitter, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits Dies

Pizza Box with Gift Cards

I decided to have a go at creating one of those cute little pizza boxes and some little notecards to go inside.

I used the Fabulous Florets stamp set and the Beyond the Garden DSP which made it really easy to co-ordinate everything and this stamp set is so easy to use.

I decorated the top of the box with one of my very own hand crocheted flowers.

You can't see in the photos very well but I used all the gorgeous bright colours - Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Confetti White, Beyond the Garden DSP, Inkpads - Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Stamp Set - Fabulous Florets, Punches - Scallop Trim Border, Lace Ribbon Border and Bird Builder, Seam Binding and Pearls

I will be sad when this stamp set and DSP retire at the end of the Summer Mini as it has become quite a favourite of mine.  Here's hoping Fabulous Florets makes it into the new catalogue in September.

I also created a matching (although odd shaped) pizza box in which you can keep your small tissue packs.  I thought these turned out really cute.

JAI105 Challenge

Here is a card I created for the latest Just Add Ink challenge.  The colours we had to use were Pool Party, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Wisteria Wonder.   This being my first attempt at a JAI challenge I found these colours were difficult for me to envisage putting together.  However, I thought I will just have a go and see what happens.   Well I did and I am really pleased with the results.  It turned out to be a really pretty feminine card.

Supplies used:  Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Whisper White Cardstock, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Certainly Celery Inkpads, Fabulous Florets Stamp Set, Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon and of course the trusty old Decorative Label Punch
