November Christmas Card Class

These are the three cards we created in this month's Christmas card class.

I have seen so many beautiful cards created with this lovely Christmas stamp set.

I particularly wanted to try and create a card stamping the poinsettia on vellum and giving it some dimension.

I also embossed the background card stock to give it a bit more interest as well as lightly inking the edges.

Because it is necessary to stamp the poinsettia twice and cut the middle image out to pop up I also adhered the leftover pieces from cutting out underneath the flower to make it appear fuller.

I am so pleased with the results.  I think one of my favourite cards for this year.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Vellum, Inkpads - Crumb Cake (also used to ink around the edges), White Craft Ink with White Embossing Powder, Stamp Set - Joyful Christmas, Ribbon - Baked Brown Sugar In Colour, Embossing Folder - Northern Flurry

I must admit I really love the colours of Crisp White, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green together.  They just say it is all about Christmas.  On this card I used the Hearts A Flutter stamp set to create the banner across the card.  First time I have used this set which I bought when it was 25% off.  Just love how versatile it is going to be.  I haven't bought the matching framelits as yet, but it was very easy to cut them out by hand.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Stamp Sets - Hearts a Flutter, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Festive Flurry, Embossing Folder - Perfect Polka Dots, Punches - Word Window, Modern Label, Framelits - Festive Flurry, Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine (now retired) and gemstone

Another card in my favourite colours of Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green.  A very simple card using only the Wishing You stamp set.  I actually created this card for our team get together as it was necessary for everyone to provide a very simple make n take.  May be simple and use minimum supplies, but looks a million dollars.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Whisper White, Stamp Sets - Wishing You, Inkpads - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Gemstone

October Christmas Card Class

Today I am sharing the 3 Christmas cards we created in yesterday's Christmas Card Class.

Our first card was very simple using one of the new stamp sets available in the Holiday Catalogue,  Wishing You stamp set and, of course, Mosaic Madness. Just added in a little background stamping with Gorgeous Grunge and some Season of Style Washi Tape.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Ink Pads - Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Pistachio Pudding (for background stamping), Stamp Sets - Wishing You, Mosaic Madness, Gorgeous Grunge, Punch - Mosaic, Season of Style Washi Tape, Gemstones

Our second card used the large tree from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  The tree was stamped in versa mark ink and embossed with Pewter Embossing powder.  The colours of Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate together look stunning (unfortunately my photo doesn't do it justice).  Again used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create an interesting background.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Ink Pads - Versamark, Pool Party, Stamp Sets - Lovely as a Tree, Gorgeous Grunge, More Merry Messages, Embossing Powder - Pewter

Our third card for the day also used the embossing technique but this time after we had stamped the image on to a piece of white card stock we covered the whole of the cardstock with versa mark and used the Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give the whole piece a lovely glittery shiny look.  To create the bauble in the multi colours of red and green we used markers to individually colour each section before stamping.  Another simple design card with the sparkles making it out of the ordinary.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Stamp Pads - Cherry Cobblers (just for sentiment), Versamark, Markers - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Stamp Sets - Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Ornament Keepsakes, Embossing Folder (retired folder from SU), Embossing Powder - Iridescent Ice

Stamp Club Creations

We started our new Stamp Club this week and these are the projects we created in the Stamp Club workshops.

I am really loving the Holiday Frame Embossing Folder so wanted to create another card using it.  I am also loving the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.  Did you know that you can purchase these two items as a bundle and save 15% on purchasing them separately?

The sentiment is also from a new stamp set More Merry Messages.  Just love this Merry Christmas - what a gorgeous font.  The colours I have used are very simple - Whisper White and Midnight Muse.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Inkpad - Midnight Muse, Stamp Sets - Ornament Keepsakes, More Merry Messages, Dies - Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon

Our next project was to create a set of three gift cards.  I have seen a number of different ideas for gift cards recently using the very versatile Scentsational Season stamp set.  Again, you can purchase the stamp set and matching framelits dies in a bundle at a saving of 15%.  I particularly liked the gift cards I had seen which incorporated Crumb Cake as the base card and decided to keep it simple by stamping and die cutting various images to be attached to the front of the card with a simple sentiment.  Very sweet little cards which you can whip up in no time at all.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Inkpad - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, DSP - Snow Festival, Stamp Sets - Scentsational Season, Merry Christmas Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments,  Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details

Although we didn't create this project in the workshop I also decided to create a little box to hold the gift cards using the Two Tags Die.  I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, although I didn't follow any instructions so it was a bit of trial and error working out the right sizing etc.  Still I think it is a very cute little gift card holder.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Inkpads - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Snow Festival DSP, Stamp Sets - Scentsational Season and Joyous Celebration, Dies - Two Tags, Holiday Collection Framelits, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon, Organza Ribbon, In Colour Brad, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine

Fancy Folds Card Class

These are two of the cards we created in our April "Fancy Folds Card Class".   We actually created 3 cards but for some reason I am having so much trouble getting the photo of the third card to load properly that I have given up for now.

Our first card was created using the new Labels Collection Framelits Dies.  I followed a tutorial I found on the internet, although now I can't find the same one, however, I have added a link to another tutorial Flip Card which will help.

These flip cards are really easy, but look stunning.  You can make them as fancy or as simple as you like.  I forgot to take a photo of the inside where we also affixed a pink die cut label which we had stamped with the same flower image from the front.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Island Indigo, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Twitterpated DSP, Clearly for You Stamp Set, Pink Pirouette Inkpad, Island Indigo Inkpad & Marker, Lucky Limeade Marker, Labels Collection Framelits Die, Dotted Scallop ribbon Border Punch, Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

This cute little gatefold card was created for Mother's Day although it would be suitable for any occasion, just change your sentiment.  This card measured 4" x 4".

Again, such an easy card to create but looks really special.  We sponged all of the edges with Soft Suede ink.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Poppy Parade and Very Vanilla, Sale-a-Bration DSP (nla), Poppy Parade and Soft Suede Inkpads, Dies - Labels Collection Framelits, Perfect Pennants and Scalloped Heart of Hearts, Word Window Punch, Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set

Stampers 6 Club

This month in Stamp Club we were able to use some of the beautiful new products from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.

Our first card was inspired by a card we had created in our last team meeting.  The bottom card is the one we created in our team meeting and the top one is the one created at stamp club.

Can you spot the differences?

As I did not have the Apothecary Art stamp set I decided to show the girls that you can still create a beautiful card by substituting what stamp sets you do have.  In this case we used the Creative Elements set to get the very cute flourish in the background.

We also created a mat for the framelit which is the black border around the small framelit piece.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Basic Black, Riding Hood Read, DSP - Twitterpated, Labels Collection Framelits, Inkpads - Black and Riding Hood Red, Stamp Sets - Creative Elements, On Your Birthday, Itty Bits Shapes Punch Rhinestones

Our second card was created using the inking and tapping technique which was highlighted in our latest Stampin'Up! Demonstrator Magazine.  Thought we would give it a try and this is how the card turned out.  Everyone was very impressed with how easy it was to create such a stunning background.

Again we used lots of supplies from the new catalogue - isn't the pleated ribbon just gorgeous.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Inkpads - Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Stamp Set - Parlor Prints Background Stamp and Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Punches - Blossom, Boho Blossoms, Word Window and Modern Label, Labels Collection Framelits, Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon, Embossing Folders - Stripes and Square Lattice, Rhinestones, Twitterpated Designer Buttons

Simple and Easy Cards

I would like to share with you a couple more cards that I have just created.  I will be selling these at a craft market that I am attending next month.

They are both very simple designs but look really great (even better in real life).

My first card was created using the very pretty Summer Solstice stamp set and I finally used some of my beautiful Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper.

My second card was created using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  I just love those butterflies.  Also great for using up all those smaller scrap pieces of cardstock and DSP we all have lying around.  As you can see I have made them in two different colours.

First Card Supplies Used - Cardstock - Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Inkpads - Melon Mambo, Old Olive, DSP - Flirtatious Specialty, Stamp Sets - Summer Solstice and Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Punches - Dotted Scallop Ribbon, Modern Label, Word Window, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, gemstones

Second Card Supplies Used - Cardstock - Confetti White and Poppy Parade/Lucky Limeade, DSP - Everyday Enchantment (Sale-a-Bration). Stamp Set - Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess Set), Inkpads - Poppy Parade/Lucky Limeade, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, gemstones
