LAYOUT CHALLENGE

Sharing my latest Page Layout which I created for the Brisbane Scrapbooking Club's February Challenge.  Again, we had to create a layout using this sketch as a guide.  I had fun using lots of different really girly items for this page.  As I had quite a few photos I also created a double page layout.

PEACEFUL PETALS - CARD NO. 3

Today's card also uses one of my new favourite tools - the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

Again, I had the small piece of DSP from the new paper stack and a Scalloped Tag left over from my recent Stamp Club projects, so thought I would create another card similar to the Stamp Club projects.

To see previous projects please click here February Stamp Club Projects.

This time I chose to compliment with Bermuda Bay rather than the previous Strawberry Slush and embossed with a different embossing folder (now retired but one I still love).

I have stamped the flower directly onto the tag with Coastal Cabana Ink and then gently water coloured in the image.  I also stamped Happy Mother's Day at the very bottom of the tag in Strawberry Slush and then further embellished the tag with some of the new Gold Baker's Twine and Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim and then finished off the card with a row of 3 pearls.

Supplies used:

Cardstock - Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Stamp Sets - Peaceful Petals, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Punches - Scalloped Tag Topper
Embossing Folder (retired)
Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim, Gold Baker's Twine, Pearls

Vintage Tag

I just loved creating this vintage themed tag for February's Tag Swap.

I created my background by stamping the En Francais Background Stamp and using a mask and sponging.

Also used a few retired items like the beautiful flower ribbon and the retired Elements of Style stamp set which is still one of my most favourite stamp sets.

This tag gave me an opportunity to use some of the lovely goodies I have been hoarding in my stash waiting for just the right project.

PEACEFUL PETALS - CARD NO. 2

Card number 2 showcasing the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set.

I already had the Melon Mambo Scallop Circle left over from another project, so decided I would use this piece as my base.

I stamped the large flower and the green leafy stems from the stamp set in Black Stazon Ink onto White Cardstock and water coloured them with Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette.

I also stamped three flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set in Melon Mambo and punched out with matching punch.

The Film Frame has been die cut using the new On Film Framelits Dies and the sentiment is also from the Peaceful Petals stamp set and has been stamped in Melon Mambo.

Supplies used:

Cardstock - Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink Pads - Black Staz On, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Sets - Peaceful Petals, Petite Petals
Dies - On Film Framelits, Scallop Circle Bigz
Punches - Large Oval, Petite Petals
Pearls

PEACEFUL PETALS - CARD 1

My first card using the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set and some of the beautiful Sale-a-Bration FREE Sweet Sorbet DSP.

I chose my colours from the DSP and went with Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Basic Black.

I stamped the flower twice on some scrap white card stock (once in Pistachio Pudding and once in Crisp Cantaloupe) and fussy cut each one - including the stem.  I tied a piece of Calypso Coral Baker's twine around the stem.

I also stamped three banners from the FREE Sale-a-Bration Banner Blast Stamp Set in Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe and punched them out using the co-ordinating punch.

Supplies used:

Cardstock - Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black, Whisper White
DSP - FREE Sale-a-Bration "Sweet Sorbet"
Stamp Sets - Peaceful Petals and FREE Sale-a-Bration Banner Blast
Ink Pads - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding
Punches - Decorative Label and FREE Sale-a-Bration - Banner
Calypso Coral Baker's Twine and Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim

THANK YOU CARDS

A quick share today with a
very simple card I have created
as Thank You cards for my Stamp
Club Members and Customers for February.

I have created these in both Coastal
Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe and
used the Hardwood stamp for the
background and just changed a
couple of details on each one.

The  Banner Blast Stamp Set and
matching Punch with some of the
Baker's Twine from the Sale-a-Bration
Catalogue made creating the cute little
banner very easy.

The sentiment stamp on the
top two cards is from the
Peaceful Petals Stamp Set
and I have also used a bit
of the gorgeous new Washi
Tape from the Occasions
Catalogue.

For the last card I created
the Washi Tape banner
by adhering the Washi Tape
to some card stock and
then punching out with the Banner punch.

PEACEFUL PETALS STAMP SET

The  projects I am going to share with you over the next few days have all been created using the beautiful Peaceful Petals Stamp Set available in the Occasions Catalogue.  See it on page 20.

Such a beautiful set which is very easy to watercolour.

It is one of my all time favourite flower stamp sets and I look forward to creating a lot of beautiful cards in the future with it.

Wood Mount - Item No. 133104 - $49.95
Clear Mount - Item No. 133107 - $39.95

The sample on the side has been taken from the catalogue and would be very easy to recreate.  Simple but stunning don't you think.

I can see the large flower being stamped, fussy cut and layered.

I have shared with you a couple of cards created with the set and now it is time for some more.
