MAY BLOGGING FRIENDS BLOG HOP - MOTHER'S DAY

Once again it is time for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop.

Welcome to the May 2019 Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  My name is Tracey and I am from the sunny Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.  Thank you for joining me here.

The theme this month is "Mother's Day".  I loved creating a very beautiful card for my wonderful Mother.

Here is my card.

Here are some of the steps to create this card:
  1. Base card is Soft Sea Foam with a layer of Pool Party and a Very Vanilla Layer.
  2. From the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set stamp on the Very Vanilla Layer - the Floral Image at bottom left and along the bottom, and the larger circles randomly all over (Sahara Sand Ink).  Randomly stamp the smaller circles in Pool Party Ink.
  3. Sponge the edges with Sahara Sand Ink.
  4. Colour the Floral Images with Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam and Light Pineapple Punch Blends Markers).
  5. Stamp the lady image on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock in Black Memento Ink.  Colour with Blends Markers (Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay, Petal Pink) and fussy cut out image.  Add Wink of Stella to her dress.
  6. Stamp Happy Mother's Day from the Tea Together Stamp Set in Pool Party on Very Vanilla Cardstock and punch out with a 1 1/2" circle punch.  Sponge the edges with Sahara Sand Ink.
  7. Using the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies die cut a small Doily from Pool Party Cardstock and a larger Doily from Soft Sea Foam.
  8. From the Butterfly Beauty Thinlets Dies die cut a couple of the flourishes and leaves from both Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.
  9. Assemble the card by affixing the larger Doily and the flourishes and leaves as shown in the photo.
  10. Affix the centre of the Doily with dimensionals and then affix the lady image with dimensionals to the middle of the Doily.
  11. Affix the sentiment to the small Doily.  Add some Very Vanilla Polka Dot Ribbon to the back and then affix with dimensionals.
  12. Affix the Very Vanilla Layer to the Pool Party Layer and then to the Base Card.

Here are a couple of closer views of the small details on this card.

You can see here that I have used the Wink of Stella on her dress.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and thank you for visiting.  Please continue on through the hop to see all the wonderful projects which have been created by some very talented ladies and gents.

JUST ADD INK CHALLENGE #443 "CHOOSE TWO"

Today's project is a card I created for this week's Just Add Ink Challenge #443 "Choose Two".  I have chosen to use Embossing Paste and Colouring.

I chose colouring because I am not overly good at colouring, although using the Stampin'Up! Blends Markers are super easy and always look great, no matter your colouring skills.

The stamp is from the very beautiful Tea Together set available in the Occasions Catalogue.  There are Framelit Dies which cut these stamped images out perfectly, however, as I haven't obtained these dies as yet I fussy cut all the stamped images.

The Tea Time Framelit Dies are a FREE item you can earn during Sale-a-Bration with a $180 order (excluding shipping and handling) or the die set will be available for purchase in the next Annual Catalogue coming out in June.

The cardstock colours I chose to use are Rich Razzleberry and Petal Pink with the Shimmery White Embossing Paste coloured with Rich Razzleberry ink.

The teapot and flowers were all stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock in Memento Black Ink.

The teapot has been coloured with Pool Party Blends Markers and the Flowers with Rich Razzleberry and Petal Pink Blends Markers with a little bling added to the centres of the flowers.

The stamped pieces have all been fussy cut and mounted to the front of the embossed piece with dimensionals.

The sentiment is also from the Tea Together stamp set and has been stamped in Rich Razzleberry and die cut with a small oval framelit.

A small piece of Petal Pink cardstock has been die cut with a die from the Flourish Thinlets Dies.

APRIL CARD CLASS (ACTUALLY WILL BE 1ST & 2ND MAY)

OOPS I made a bit of a boo boo with my dates for April Class.

As my usual class date would have been 24th and 25th April  I rearranged my dates to the next week due to 25th April  being Anzac Day and a Public Holiday.

In my previous post I mentioned Thursday 30th April and Friday 1st May.  In fact the dates should be Thursday 1st May and Friday 2nd May.

In this class we will be creating a special Card In A Box (the card below is a sample only).  We shall also create a small gift as well.

I have created this card for Mother's Day, but you can easily change the theme to a birthday.

As spaces are limited, please book ensure you book your spot early.

PEACEFUL PETALS - CARD NO. 3

Today's card also uses one of my new favourite tools - the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

Again, I had the small piece of DSP from the new paper stack and a Scalloped Tag left over from my recent Stamp Club projects, so thought I would create another card similar to the Stamp Club projects.

To see previous projects please click here February Stamp Club Projects.

This time I chose to compliment with Bermuda Bay rather than the previous Strawberry Slush and embossed with a different embossing folder (now retired but one I still love).

I have stamped the flower directly onto the tag with Coastal Cabana Ink and then gently water coloured in the image.  I also stamped Happy Mother's Day at the very bottom of the tag in Strawberry Slush and then further embellished the tag with some of the new Gold Baker's Twine and Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim and then finished off the card with a row of 3 pearls.

Supplies used:

Cardstock - Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Stamp Sets - Peaceful Petals, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Punches - Scalloped Tag Topper
Embossing Folder (retired)
Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim, Gold Baker's Twine, Pearls
