SIMPLE BIRTHDAY CARD

Today I am sharing a super simple card created with the really cute Hello Cupcake stamp set which is one of the Sale-a-Bration Stamp Sets you can receive free for placing a $90 order during Sale-a-Bration.

I created this card as part of the Stampin'Up! #simplestamping challenge for February.

I have simply taken one of our notecards and stamped all of the images directly onto the front of my card.

The colours I have used are Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Gorgeous Grape.

One birthday card created in no time at all.

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY

This is a card I created at my monthly workshop using the gorgeous Botanical Butterfly DSP.

I gave everyone a couple of pieces of this DSP, a couple of sketches and then let them choose some co-ordinating cardstock.

Everyone created something beautiful (not hard to do with this paper).  I have shared all the workshop attendees cards to my Facebook page but forgot to share mine.

These were the two pieces of the Botanical Butterfly DSP we each received.  You can earn this DSP for FREE by placing an order for a minimum of $90 during Sale-a-Bration.

I chose to use the spotted side of one of the DSP and to also cut out some of the butterflies from each piece.  For my card base I chose Balmy Blue.

I also wanted to use some of the gorgeous hearts in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.

I die cut some of the smaller hearts and also a couple of the pretty floral pieces from Balmy Blue cardstock.

All of these elements were then placed on the card front as shown in the photo.

Here is a closer look at how I layered the pretty floral pieces over the top of my heart pieces.  All the die cut pieces were glued down flat.

The middle butterfly was actually punched out of the paper using the Butterfly Duet punch.  The smaller butterflies were fussy cut.  Some pearls I had in my stash were added to the middles of the butterflies and then added to the card with dimensionals.

To finish off the card I stamped a For You sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White rectangle piece of cardstock and adhered to the card with dimensionals.  (Not sure which set this stamp is from).

You will also notice that I die cut an edging from Balmy Blue cardstock which I added to the right side of the card.

To create this card, these are the supplies I used which you can purchase through my online store by clicking on the picture.

I JUST ADORE YOU

The card I am sharing today I think could be used as a sweet Valentine's Day card, although I didn't create this card with Valentine's Day in mind.

When I was creating samples with the Incredible Like You stamp set for my Open House I wanted to use some different colour combinations to what I had previously used.

I ended up choosing Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.

Here is a little closer look at the stamped colour combo.

I find that I always seem to gravitate towards using Whisper White Cardstock for my stamping so I challenged myself to use Very Vanilla Cardstock instead.

The base card is Night of Navy with a Very Vanilla layer onto which I have stamped the stripes in Night of Navy and the leaves in Garden Green.  The small accents have been stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

The larger flowers have been stamped in Cherry Cobbler on a separate piece of Very Vanilla and fussy cut out.  The sentiment "I Just Adore You" has been stamped in Night of Navy and die cut out with one of the cute frame dies from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.  All of these pieces have then been mounted over the images stamped on the Very Vanilla Layer (as shown in the photos) with dimensionals.

To complete the card I stamped the dots alternatively with Night of Navy and Garden Green along the bottom of the card and then the completed stamped piece was adhered to the base card.

I love the way these colours compliment each other and I am very pleased with the way this card turned out.

Not only is this stamp stamp fantastic for creating beautiful cards by itself, it is also the co-ordinating stamp set for the Incredible Like You Project Kit where you can make 16 beautiful cards from this kit.

The kit includes instructions and also a reusable storage envelope.

Can't wait to get this kit myself to create some really beautiful cards without a lot of fuss.  Stampin'Up! just makes it so easy for every crafter.

JUST ADD INK CHALLENGE #442I

Today's card is one that I have created for the latest Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge.

For my card I chose to use some of the new products I had received in my latest order -  the Happy Tails Stamp set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  Probably not two products you would automatically put together, but they were sitting on my table and I thought why not.

I also wanted to create a nice bright card so chose to use the colours of Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel.

The dog and his bone were stamped in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock with the dog being punched out with the co-ordinating punch.  The bone was fussy cut out.  Friends Forever was stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and trimmed to a small rectangle.

Various dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies were used to create the heart pieces in Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel cardstock.

To complete the card, all the pieces were layered, as shown in the photo, over a small piece of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.

BEAUTY ABOUNDS

This bundle has to be one of my absolute favourites from this catalogue.

I fell in love with it as soon as I spied it on the display board at OnStage and thought this is going to be such a versatile set.

I love how you can do so much with the die set alone.  You can use the whole large die, you can layer, you can cut them apart.  There are also duplicates of the smaller butterflies so you can diecut a few at a time.

And then of course, you have the beautiful co-ordinating stamp set.  The sentiments in this set are just so lovely.

This is the first card I have created with this set.

I basically cased this card from the catalogue, just changing my colour palette.  Again I created this card at retreat so I was a little restricted on the colours I had taken with me.

Don't you just love the gorgeous little circles in the background.  These are part of the stamp set and they are very simply inked and stamped randomly.  I just love the way they show in varied shades.

The colours I used for this project are Whisper White, Basic Gray and Lovely Lipstick.

I also used some of the All My Love Lovely Lipstick ribbon and Old Olive Linen Thread.

I can see this bundle getting a lot of use and I will be sharing some more projects with this one soon.

If you would like to create a project like this, these are the supplies I used:
