PETAL PARADE STAMP SET - CARD NO. 3

Today's card showcasing the Petal Parade Stamp Set is very quick and easy.

I created this card based on the recent card I created for The Paper Players Challenge.

You only need White Cardstock, Black Ink and really any simple Stamp Set you already have to create a card just like this one.

Of course, if you love this stamp set you could earn it yourself during Sale-a-Bration.

I love the very simple Black and White theme.

Supplies used for this card:

Whisper White Cardstock
Black Stazon Ink Pad
Petal Parade - FREE SALE-A-BRATION Stamp Set - Item 133599 Wood Mount or Item 133602 Clear Mount
Happy Day Stamp Set - Item 130294 Wood Mount $37.95 or Item 130297 Clear Mount $29.95

PETAL PARADE STAMP SET - CARD NO. 2

A very different card to yesterday's creation.

This time I have just used the round flower and stamped around the edges of two square pieces of Very Vanilla Cardstock with Coastal Cabana ink.  My finished card measurements are 5" x 5", but you could create any size square you wished.

I have then mounted the smaller top piece onto Coastal Cabana card stock and then again onto Crumb Cake which was then all mounted onto the larger stamped piece of Very Vanilla and then mounted onto a black base card with dimensionals.

Just a little tip to save some card stock, when using a lot of layers like this card, I usually cut out the middle of the, in this case squares, which can then be used for another project etc.

On the right hand side of the top layer I have affixed some of the Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon and then mounted the flowers and butterflies over the top in the corner areas.

The flowers  were stamped with Petite Petals stamp set and punched out with the matching punch.  I also stamped the round flower from the Petal Parade set twice onto a piece of Very Vanilla and then punched out with the small butterfly punch.   Flowers and butterflies have been embellished with pearls.

Finally the sentiment is from a hostess set Simply Sketched stamped onto Very Vanilla with Coastal Cabana Ink and punched out with the large oval punch and mounted onto a piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock punched with the Scallop Oval punch.

Supplies used:

Cardstock - Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana

PETAL PARADE STAMP SET - CARD NO. 1

Time to show off the gorgeous Petal Parade Stamp Set which you could receive FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

This time I have used the colours of Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate and Pistachio Pudding.  Not my usual colour choices but I really think they went nicely together.

Another fairly simple card where I have just randomly stamped all over the white card stock in the three colours and then added the embellishments of pearls, cork flowers and gold twine.  This white piece has then been affixed to a slightly larger Crushed Curry piece of card stock and finally layered onto the White base card.  In this particular case I did make the card a bit more of a fancy fold than just basic, but you don't have to.

Supplies used:

Cardstock - Whisper White, Crushed Curry
Stamp Sets - Petal Parade (FREE SALE-A-BRATION STAMP), Sentiment from Peaceful Petals - Item No. 133104 for wood mount - $49.95 or Item No. 133107 for clear mount - $39.95
Ink Pads - Smoky Slate  - Item No. 131179, Crushed Curry - Item No. 131173, Pistachio Pudding - Item No. 131177 - all $9.95 each

SALE-A-BRATION - PETAL PARADE STAMP SET

You could earn yourself this beautiful Petal Parade Stamp Set for FREE.

I have been loving using this stamp set.   It has just been so versatile and I can see myself using it to create many more projects.

So for the next few posts I will be sharing with you just a few of the cards I have created already.

I have also already shared with you previously  the border I created on this layout using this stamp set.

What other ideas can you come up with for using this stamp set.

FEBRUARY STAMP CLUB

We had our first stamp club for 2014 where we created some projects using new products from the Occasions Catalogue and some FREE products from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue.

Our first card used the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  Such a great tool for making any length tags (you are restricted to the width of 5 cm) and I think I am going to be using this punch a lot.   To add some extra interest we also punched along the bottom of the tag with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.

We have also used some DSP from the Paper Stack.  I really like using the paper stacks because they are just the perfect size for cards and you don't have to cut into a full sheet of 12" x 12" DSP.

FREE from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue is the blue twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack and also a stamp from the Petal Parade Stamp Set.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Fresh Prints DSP Paper Stack, Stamp Sets - Flower Shop, Peaceful Petals, Petal Parade, Punches - Scalloped Tag Topper Punch & Scallop Edge Border Punch, Embossing Folder - Swiss Dots, Ink Pads - Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Embellishments - Blue Twine from Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack, Pearls

Our second card used the new Hardwood Background Stamp which I think looks so awesome.

We have also used the Petite Petals Stamp Set and matching punch as well as the new die cut from the On Film Framelits Dies.

The owl punch is still one of my favourites and he looks very cute dressed up in his stamped and punched vest.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Ink Pads - Pistachio Pudding, Soft Suede, Stamp Sets - Hardwood Background Stamp, Petite Petals, Petal Parade, Sentiment from Simply Sketched Hostess Set, Punches - Owl Builder, Bird Builder, Petite Petals, Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Framelits Die - On Film, Diamontes

Pixels and Paper Challenge

Today I would like to share with you a scrapbook page which I have created for the January Challenge for the Pixels and Paper Challenge Blog where my lovely friend and team member Heidi is now a Design Team Member.

These were photos of my niece having fun one summer day which seemed the perfect photos for the theme of the challenge.

For this layout I used some of the free Sale-a-Bration paper as the base and backed the photos in Basic Black and Coastal Cabana (both colours are in the background paper and went well with the photos).

It is a bit difficult to tell from the photo but I stamped my own border in Coastal Cabana using another free product from Sale-a-Bration.  A different use for the Petal Parade stamp set.  Who said a flower had to be a flower.   I also stamped a couple of sentiments to add to the layout.

I have created the tag with the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and embellished with some die cut buttons (now retired).  On my photo you will also see that I have added some of the new Retro Fresh This and That Washi Tape available in the new Occasions Catalogue.

I finished off the page with some brads and completed the title with some Black Thickers Alphabets which I found when I was cleaning out my craft room recently.
