Birthday Present and Card for Chloe

Today I would like to share with you the birthday card and headband that I created for my daughter's best friend for her 12th birthday today.  Happy birthday Chloe.

I used the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch to create the dress and the little bag was created using the Cupcake Builder Punch.

Added a bit of bling and some ribbon and lace and perfect for a young fashion conscious girl's birthday.

I didn't have any Stampin'Up! fabric that would match the pink and black theme so instead used some fabric that I had in my stash of goodies.  I am hoping that the black fabric I used to cover the headband will fray a little to give it a bit of a shabby chic look.  I also created the fabric flower using the Island Floral Die and covered a button with the pink fabric.

These little dresses created from the scallop punch have been around for quite some time and I think they are just perfect for a stylish young girl's card.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Pink Pirouette, Basic Black and Melon Mambo, Punches - Scallop Circle and Cupcake Builder, Stamp Set - Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Miscellaneous - Netting, Bling and Ribbon (all non SU)

Headbands with Stampin'Up! Fabric

I was very excited to be able to take a class with one of our lovely fellow Gold Coast Stampin'Up! Demonstrators - Di Hardie who taught us how to create these gorgeous headbands using Stampin'Up! fabric.  I chose to use the Beau Chateau fabric and I was so happy with the results.  I learnt how to use a glue gun - burnt my fingers a few times and managed to stab my finger with the sewing needle, but, it was a lot of fun to create and of course now I can't wait to start creating lots more.   Looking forward to being able to use the new fabric which will be available in the next mini due out 1st April.
