ELEGANT CARDS WITH THE PEACEFUL POPPIES DSP

Hello and welcome.  Thank you for stopping by my blog post today.  

Today I would like to share with you a beautiful and simple card created with the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP) and some of the elements from the Peaceful Poppies Elements.

I knew as soon as I saw these gorgeous papers that they would definitely be  one of my first purchases from the January-June Mini Catalogue.   

I started with a piece of the DSP and chose a card base of Blackberry Bliss.

From the elements I chose some of the flowers and and leaves from the vellum pieces and added some colour with markers.  I also stamped a sentiment on a Black Banner piece and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

To finish off I added a small bow created from the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (another must have on my list) and added some Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Voila, one simple and elegant card completed.

Working on my next project now with these gorgeous papers.  How do you think this one will turn out?  So far this is as far as I have gotten.  I will post the finished card soon.  For this one I plan to add in lots of embellishments etc.
