BEAUTY ABOUNDS

This bundle has to be one of my absolute favourites from this catalogue.

I fell in love with it as soon as I spied it on the display board at OnStage and thought this is going to be such a versatile set.

I love how you can do so much with the die set alone.  You can use the whole large die, you can layer, you can cut them apart.  There are also duplicates of the smaller butterflies so you can diecut a few at a time.

And then of course, you have the beautiful co-ordinating stamp set.  The sentiments in this set are just so lovely.

This is the first card I have created with this set.

I basically cased this card from the catalogue, just changing my colour palette.  Again I created this card at retreat so I was a little restricted on the colours I had taken with me.

Don't you just love the gorgeous little circles in the background.  These are part of the stamp set and they are very simply inked and stamped randomly.  I just love the way they show in varied shades.

The colours I used for this project are Whisper White, Basic Gray and Lovely Lipstick.

I also used some of the All My Love Lovely Lipstick ribbon and Old Olive Linen Thread.

I can see this bundle getting a lot of use and I will be sharing some more projects with this one soon.

JUST ADD INK #441 "INSPIRATION" CHALLENGE

I was having a bit of a look around at some of my favourite sites when I saw the gorgeous colours in this week's Just Add Ink Challenge and decided I would create a card for this challenge.

This is my card and the colours I have chosen to use are Powder Pink, Coastal Cabana and Sahara Sand.  Such pretty soft colours.

I also chose to create one of my favourite styles of cards - the Easel Card.

The stamp set is from the All My Love Suite from the Occasions Catalogue.  I have also used the co-ordinating dies in this suite to create the cut out piece which is only revealed when the card is opened as an Easel.   The stitching has been added to the Sahara Sand piece with a Die from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.   Here is a closer look.

To add some extra interest and dimension I have also added a layer of Vellum, a small piece of the Delightfully Detailed Lasercut Paper and some die cuts in Coastal Cabana cardstock over the top of the stamped flower images.

To complete the card I have added a white ribbon and stamped a sentiment onto a Whisper White Stitched Circle in Sahara Sand and adhered with dimensionals.

Did I mention how simple it is to stamp the flower image and leaves with the Stamparatus.  This tool makes lining up these stamps very easy.

I think this is a card we will be creating in February's Card Classes - I just love the colours so much.

Here is a list of the supplies I used to create this card.

Amazing Life - Part 2

Here are the two simple little 4" x 4" notecards I created at the same time I created the cute little gift bag in the previous post.

My first card I used a Lovely Lipstick base (a bit hard to tell in this photo).

The Whisper White layer is 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" on which I have stamped the various designs from the Amazing Life stamp set.

The cake I stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White with Black Memento Ink and coloured with Highland Heather and Lovely Lipstick Blends Markers and then fussy cut out.  I attached some Silver Metallic Thread to the back of the cake and affixed to the white layer with dimensionals.

The colours I used for this project are Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Lovely Lipstick.

My next project I used the colours of Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist.

My base card is Highland Heather with a layer of Lemon Lime Twist (3 1/4" x 3 1/4") and then a layer of Whisper White (3" x 3").

I have stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment - using the awesome Stamparatus tool to stamp evenly in alternate Lemon Lime Twist and Highland Heather.

Again I have stamped the cake on a separate piece of Whisper White and coloured with Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Blends Markers and affixed the same as the previous card.

Here are the supplies I used for these cards:

Amazing Life

Today's projects have been created with the Amazing Life Stamp Set which I was lucky enough to receive at the recent Brisbane OnStage event.

My first project I created a pouch from of the Glassine Gift Bags (now retired, but I still have a few in my stash).

To create a bit of interest on
the bag I stamped the dot
pattern from the Beauty Abounds
stamp set randomly in Highland
Heather and Lemon Lime
Twist Ink.

I stamped the "So Happy To Have You In My Life" sentiment on a piece of Highland Heather cardstock in Black Memento Ink and again on a small piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (basically just the banner section).

I then fussy cut out the banner section of the Lemon Lime Twist stamped piece and affixed to the Highland Heather stamped piece with dimensonals.

I also coloured the word Happy with the Dark Lovely Lipstick Blends Marker.

To finish off I adhered the completed Highland Heather piece to a Whisper White piece, added a small bow from the Lemon Lime Twist Organdy Ribbon (Sale-a-Bration Free Item) and then affixed the whole piece to the front of the bag.

These are the supplies I used to create this project:

Don't forget during Sale-a-Braton for a $90 order (excluding shipping and handling) you could earn the Organdy Ribbon for FREE - or one of the other Sale-a-Bration products.

I shall be back in the next couple of days to show the other two projects (cards) that I created to go into the bag.
