Back To School

Time for the kids to go back to school.  Yay say all the mothers who have had them home for the last 6 to 8 weeks.

This year our beautiful girl is starting high school.  Thought I would share our traditional photo for the first day of school.  We have been taking this photo every year since pre-school.

I will be back to show you the scrapbook page that I create with this photo (when I get time to actually do some scrapbooking).

We were very proud parents watching Nikita start off her first day at high school with all the other Grade 8 students.  She received a music scholarship and is so looking forward to meeting and making lots of new friends.  Have a great day sweetheart.

NEW SCRAPBOOK

I have just finished creating this Scrapbook for one of my lovely customers.  Her daughter is a performer and she wanted a scrapbook created that was bright and very glitzy but also a bit vintage.  Not really a combination I found easy to work with.

Having said that, I am really pleased with the way it turned out.  As you can see I used a lot of Silver Glimmer Paper which was just perfect for this project.

I used the very gorgeous Sweet and Sour Specialty DSP which retired  a couple of years ago and tried to incorporate the beautiful embossed images that these papers contained as embellishments.

Just showing you the front cover here.  If you would like to see all the photos of the whole book, please feel free to check out my facebook page by clicking here Tracey's Papercraft Creations.

SALE-A-BRATION IS HERE

Yay.  Sale-a-Bration is here and in full swing.

Here are a couple of cards that have been created with the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and Ribbon & Button Pack.

This first card we created in our last team meeting and we also used the Pretty Petites Stamp Set and the very cute Petite Curly Label punch.

The colours in the Sycamore Street papers are just divine as well as the matching ribbons (Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo and Pool Party) and buttons (Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Tangerine Tango).

My next card I created for a Valentine's Day Card  which is different from your usual red or pink cards.  Island Indigo is one of my favourite colours so I loved this colour combination.  I didn't have anything in Tangerine Tango so substituted Calypso Coral which matched in just nicely.

Don't forget you can earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration products during February through to 22 March for every order placed for $100.

Supplies used:

Card 1:  Cardstock - Sahara Sand, Whisper White, FREE Sycamore Street DSP, Stamp Sets - FREE Pretty Petites, Inkpads - Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Punches - Curly Label, FREE Petite Curly Label, FREE Sycamore Street Ribbon

Card 2:  Cardstock - Island Indigo, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, FREE Sycamore Street DSP, Stamp Sets - Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Scalloped Heart of Hearts and Fashionable Hearts Embosslits, Punches - Modern Label, Word Window, FREE Sycamore Street Ribbon, Pearl

Valentine's Day Card

It is almost time to celebrate Valentine's Day.  For all those romantics out there here is a lovely card I have created with Valentine's Day in mind, but you could easily change the sentiment and it could become a lovely birthday card.

Gone a bit mad with the embossing folders on this one, but I just love those cute embossed hearts and it was so easy to create the embossed and scalloped border using the Delicate Designs Border Embossing Folder and the large Scallop Edgelit.

You will notice from some of my previous posts that I have again used a similar layout to some of my Christmas cards but just changed the colours around etc.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler Inkpads - Cherry Cobbler, Stamp Sets - Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Punches - Modern Label, Word Window, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Large Scallop Edgelit, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits, Black Satin Ribbon (retired), Gemstones
