Nerang High School Craft Market
I shall be having a stall at the Nerang High School Art & Craft Market
next Saturday 30th November. This is the school that my daughter attends so hope to
see quite a few familiar faces on the day out doing some Christmas shopping.
Looks like there are going to be lots of goodies to choose from.

November Christmas Card Class
These are the three cards we created in this month's Christmas card class.
I have seen so many beautiful cards created with this lovely Christmas stamp set.
I particularly wanted to try and create a card stamping the poinsettia on vellum and giving it some dimension.
I also embossed the background card stock to give it a bit more interest as well as lightly inking the edges.
Because it is necessary to stamp the poinsettia twice and cut the middle image out to pop up I also adhered the leftover pieces from cutting out underneath the flower to make it appear fuller.
I am so pleased with the results. I think one of my favourite cards for this year.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Vellum, Inkpads - Crumb Cake (also used to ink around the edges), White Craft Ink with White Embossing Powder, Stamp Set - Joyful Christmas, Ribbon - Baked Brown Sugar In Colour, Embossing Folder - Northern Flurry
I must admit I really love the colours of Crisp White, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green together. They just say it is all about Christmas. On this card I used the Hearts A Flutter stamp set to create the banner across the card. First time I have used this set which I bought when it was 25% off. Just love how versatile it is going to be. I haven't bought the matching framelits as yet, but it was very easy to cut them out by hand.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Stamp Sets - Hearts a Flutter, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Festive Flurry, Embossing Folder - Perfect Polka Dots, Punches - Word Window, Modern Label, Framelits - Festive Flurry, Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine (now retired) and gemstone
Another card in my favourite colours of Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green. A very simple card using only the Wishing You stamp set. I actually created this card for our team get together as it was necessary for everyone to provide a very simple make n take. May be simple and use minimum supplies, but looks a million dollars.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Whisper White, Stamp Sets - Wishing You, Inkpads - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Gemstone

Christmas Bon Bons using the Envelope Punch Board
Like, this cute little Christmas Bon Bon which we made on the night. Now I had been umming and ahhing about whether I really needed one of these tools and I had almost convinced myself that I could do without one. Well after using it, and seeing some of the fabulous other ideas around, you can all guess what will be going on my next order.
I have made a few of this little bon bons in previous years but used a template which needed a lot of cutting. Oh my goodness, how much easier it is using the new EPB tool. The sweet little flower on the front was created using the leftover punched out pieces from the main project.

November Stamp Club Projects
Our two projects for this month's Stamp Club Workshop were based around using the gorgeous papers from the Season of Style Paper Stack Pack to create some little gift bags
which are always very handy at Christmas time.
Our first project we created this little gift pouch/bag using just one sheet of DSP from the Paper Stack. We also decorated a small peg with some Washi Tape and a stamped image and added a magnet to the back so that it can be re-used as a fridge magnet.
Our second project also used just one sheet of DSP from the Paper Stack. I love decorating up these plain old brown carry bags. They simply look stunning once you have added a bit of decoration to them. I am also just loving these colours together.

October Christmas Card Class
Today I am sharing the 3 Christmas cards we created in yesterday's Christmas Card Class.
Our first card was very simple using one of the new stamp sets available in the Holiday Catalogue, Wishing You stamp set and, of course, Mosaic Madness. Just added in a little background stamping with Gorgeous Grunge and some Season of Style Washi Tape.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Whisper White, Ink Pads - Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Pistachio Pudding (for background stamping), Stamp Sets - Wishing You, Mosaic Madness, Gorgeous Grunge, Punch - Mosaic, Season of Style Washi Tape, Gemstones
Our second card used the large tree from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. The tree was stamped in versa mark ink and embossed with Pewter Embossing powder. The colours of Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate together look stunning (unfortunately my photo doesn't do it justice). Again used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create an interesting background.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Ink Pads - Versamark, Pool Party, Stamp Sets - Lovely as a Tree, Gorgeous Grunge, More Merry Messages, Embossing Powder - Pewter
Our third card for the day also used the embossing technique but this time after we had stamped the image on to a piece of white card stock we covered the whole of the cardstock with versa mark and used the Iridescent Ice embossing powder to give the whole piece a lovely glittery shiny look. To create the bauble in the multi colours of red and green we used markers to individually colour each section before stamping. Another simple design card with the sparkles making it out of the ordinary.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Whisper White, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Stamp Pads - Cherry Cobblers (just for sentiment), Versamark, Markers - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Stamp Sets - Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Ornament Keepsakes, Embossing Folder (retired folder from SU), Embossing Powder - Iridescent Ice

PROJECTS CREATED AT ALL DAY SCRAP/CARDMAKING EVENT
On Saturday I held an all day scrapbooking/cardmaking/do your own thing event. It was a really fun day and the ladies brought their own projects to work on as well as the below projects which I created with them.
This first project is a case from page 9 of the Holiday Catalogue. Christmas cards always look great in the traditional colours of red and green (in this case Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler).
This project is a very cute little Elf light using the little LED Tealights. I had found this project on Pinterest created by Becky Roberts and fell in love them. These were my version.
This project was very simple and quick and easy to complete. We created these at our recent team meeting and I thought the girls would like these as well. You can use both sizes of the current butterfly punch but as I only had the smaller butterfly punch I also used one of the butterflies from the butterfly embosslits.
Our final project was this gorgeous decorated gift box. The actual box itself I found in a craft store recently in a pack of 10 which you had to put together yourself.
I found that the size of the box was a perfect fit for using a 6" x 12" sheet of DSP. It was a simple matter of cutting the DSP at 4" and then every 2" giving you 5 pieces ( 1 - 4" x 6" and 4 - 2" x 6"). I attached all the pieces to the box before I finally assembled it as follows - I attached the large piece temporarily to the top of the box and ran it through the big shot so that I would have an opening on the top. I then removed the DSP and affixed a sheet of acetate to the DSP and then affixed permanently to the top of the box so that it was nice and neat from both sides. Affix the other 2" pieces of DSP to each side - cutting where needed. Once all paper etc has been adhered it is time to stick the box together and then to complete decoration I stamped and punched some Flower Shop flowers and leaves from the bird builder punch and added some pearls.

CHRISTMAS CARDS
Sharing some really simple and easy Christmas cards that I have been creating to take to the markets. The colours I have used have been Whisper White Cardstock and stamped images in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green. If you need to create a lot of Christmas cards it is a good idea to keep a simple design and use some great colours together.

SCRAPBOOK PAGE
Went to my monthly scrapbooking get together with friends yesterday and finally actually finished a page completely (I do have a lot of half pages done that just need a little embellishment or some journalling etc - but this one is finished - yay and can go into the School Album).

ANOTHER POSTCARD CHRISTMAS CARD
Sharing another one of my Postcard background Christmas Cards. I am really loving the vintagey look of these cards. A little bit of everything in here I think. Still have a couple more in the process of being completed.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Ink Pads - Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Stamp Sets - Postcard Background, Lovely as a Tree, Mosaic Madness, More Merry Messages, Notable Notions, Gorgeous Grunge, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine

POSTCARD CHRISTMAS CARD
I have been having a play today with my Postcard background stamp. Actually this is the first time I have gotten around to using it.
I am so pleased with the way this card turned out with that vintage feel to it.
I used the Postcard stamp as the base and then overstamped a variety of other stamps to create a collage of images.
I am on a roll and off to create a few more in this design. Will share with you all when they are completed.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Stamp Sets - Postcard, Lovely as a Tree, More Merry Messages, Notable Notions, Ink Pads - Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Punch - Mosaic (for the ends of the sentiment), Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and Lace Ribbon
October Stamp Club
Our October projects for Stamp Club were based on a card which Stampin'Up! had created as a sample in our recent Impressions Magazine.
Just loved these colours together. I have shown this card previously but this time I added in the little extra snowflake (unfortunately this die is no longer available to purchase but it is still one of my favourites).
The cute little milk carton gift box was created in matching colours. The little peg used on the top is from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.
I actually attached the Ribbon and Christmas Wishes greeting to the peg with glue dots and then it was easy just to peg to the top of the carton and take off when you want to get into the contents of the carton.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Silver Glimmer Paper, Stamp Sets - That's the Ticket, Tape It, Ink Pads - White Stazon, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, DSP - Season of Style Paper Stack, Silver Ribbon, Punch - Mosaic, Ticket Duo Builder, Gemstones, Pegs, Washi Tape, Dies - Milk Carton and retired Snowflakes

SEPTEMBER CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS
I just love it when it is time to start creating Christmas cards
in our regular monthly card classes.
As this post goes to air these are the 3 cards that my ladies will be sitting down
and creating.
Our first card was this pretty card using the Gorgeous Grunge and Mosaic Madness
stamp sets together with yummy Silver Glimmer Paper. The other colours
I used were Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.
Inks used were Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and a touch of Smoky Slate.
Our next card was this one using the traditional green and red Christmas colours.
In this case I used Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green (my two favourite
Christmas colours) together with some of the new Season of Style DSP.
And our final card was this fancy wiper card. I shall try to link the tutorial by Dawn
at the bottom of this post for anyone who would like to try this card
for themselves. It was pretty easy and I thought very cute.

Projects from our Team Get Together
Just popping in today to share with you some of the awesome projects
we completed at our recent Team Get Together.
We had so much fun and each member of the team provided a make n take.
PROJECT NO 1 - STAMPED CANDLES
Our first project was provided by Cassandra and it was how to create a
beautiful stamped image on a candle.
Now I have tried this technique before and I wasn't very
good at it. But, I must say the technique Cass taught us meant my
candle came out looking great. I decided to go with a Christmas theme
and used the very beautiful poinsettia stamp from the Joyful Christmas
stamp set available now in the Holiday Catalogue.
PROJECT NO 2 - VERY SIMPLE CHRISTMAS CARD
This was my project for the day. I had decided on a simple theme using
mostly non-tradional products. I went with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set
and Washi Tape and then added in a sentiment from the More Merry Messages set
and an Ornament from the Ornament Keepsakes set. Stuck with the
traditional Christmas colours of Red and Green (in this case Cherry
Cobbler and Old Olive).
PROJECT NO. 3 - GIFT BOX AND GIFT TAGS
This was Heidi's project for the day. A very sweet little gift box
using the Top Note die (still one of my favourite dies)
and little gift tags using the Chalk Talk Framelits set.
Aren't the Santas so cute on the gift tags. Santa came from the Tag It stamp set which is
available in the Annual Catalogue. To stamp just Santa from this set we
simply coloured Santa with our Marker and stamped. Easy.
I should also mention that this stamp set is a set that Stampin'Up! donates $3
from each stamp set sold to Ronald McDonald House Charities. To date Stampin'Up!
have donated over $1,000,000 US to Ronald McDonald House Charities and now we are
able to do help with contributing in Australia.
PROJECT NO 4 - SLIDING CARD
Our final project for the day was this gorgeous Sliding Card which was created
by Marylou. How beautiful are the colours she has chosen. Cherry Cobbler
and Silver Glimmer Paper. Loved this project and will be creating
more of these in the future.

So there you have it, we all had a great day having fun chatting and eating and
catching up on each others news as well as spending the day creating
these wonderful projects which we will now all go out and share with
our customers and friends.

Case of Cute Stampin'Up! Card
To have a bit of a break from creating lots of Christmas cards for the markets and because I just couldn't wait any longer, I thought I would case the gorgeous card that Stampin'Up! had shared with us in our latest Demonstrators Impressions Magazine.
So, to the left is the original Stampin'Up! version which I shared with all my Facebook Fans a couple of days ago.
The original version used the new A Banner Christmas stamp set.
And now, voila, here is my version. The actual colours are all the same (I think my photo is just not as bright). Who would have thought that Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate would all go together so well.
As is usually the case for most stampers, I didn't have all of the exact stamp sets etc the same as the original so I just used what I already had and I think it came out looking just as stunning.
And look, how they have used the grey Epic Day This and That Washi Tape. Would never have thought of putting it on a Christmas card.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Whisper White Ink Pads - Smoky Slate, White Stayzon, Crumb Cake, Stamp Sets - Tape It, That's The Ticket, Designer Series Paper - Season of Style, Epic Day This and That Washi Tape, Silver 1/8" Ribbon

Special Order - Christmas Cards
Some more Christmas cards to share. These cards I have created as a special order for a friend who wanted lots of bling.
So I used plenty of Silver Glimmer Paper to give them that extra special look.
My first card I used the negative of the Snowflake Die (now retired but still a favourite of mine) and some retired gorgeous ribbon.
The sentiment is from the More Merry Messages stamp set which is still available on the carryover list.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Silver Glimmer Paper, Inkpads - Raspberry Ripple, Stamp Set - More Merry Messages, Die - Snowflake (retired), Gemstones, Ribbon (retired)
My second card I used the Mosaic punch to punch out some Silver Glimmer Paper for my Christmas Baubles.
The sentiment I stamped onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock and then used the Mosaic punch to give the ends a fancy look. I have embossed the background with an embossing folder from the last Holiday Catalogue (now retired) but you could use the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder for a similar look.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper, Inkpad - Raspberry Ripple, Stamp Set - More Merry Messages, Punch - Mosaic, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Embossing Folder, Red Gemstones (non SU)

Mosiac Madness Christmas Card
Well I am definitely starting to think about Christmas cards and gifts with quite a few markets coming up in the next couple of months.
So, with this in mind I was playing around again with my Mosaic Madness stamp set and this is another little Christmas card I came up with today.
How cute do they look as little Christmas baubles?
To create the background I also inked up one of my clear mount blocks in Pistachio Pudding and stamped twice just to make it interesting.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Gumball Green, Whisper White, Inkpads - Gumball Green, Pistachio Pudding, Raspberry Ripple, DSP - Season of Style, Stamp Sets - Mosaic Madness, Elements of Style (now retired), Thats the Ticket, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine

September Stamp Club
This is one of the projects we created in last night's Stamp Club.
I used the Mosaic Madness stamp set to create the Christmas baubles. It's always great when your stamp sets can be used in many different ways and for different themes.
It is a bit hard to tell but I have also added a small punch of Silver Glimmer Paper in the middle of two of the baubles. Oh and I have just realised I had added a small Cherry Cobbler twine bow to the green bauble just to finish it off, after I took this photo.
I am also loving the beautiful Season of Style Designer Washi Tape. It is the Washi Tape I have used at the bottom of this card.
The Washi Tape is so simple to use and is also great value. You get 4.6 metres of each of the 3 designs you see here in the one package for $8.95.
Supplies used: Cardstock - Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Ink Pads - Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Stamp Sets: Mosaic Madness, More Merry Messages (carried over from previous catalogue), Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, Mosaic Punch, Silver Glimmer Paper

Christmas Banner Kit
In my pre-order I purchased the new Banner Simply Created Kit, Build a Banner Simply Created Kit and the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit.
Well today I was excited about having the time to start creating some of these gorgeous accents which will eventually be added to my Christmas Banner. I couldn't start on my banner yet because I forgot to order in the re-inker colour that I needed, but because the Accessory Kit contains everything you need I was able to get started on these.
This little accessory kit is so easy to use and so far all I have done is copied some of the ideas in the new Holiday Catalogue.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product all together.
