October Card Class

Yesterday we had card class and these are the cards and little gift item we created.  All of these projects are very easy (yes even the red christmas card) and look great for Christmas.  I  had just received my new Northern Flurry Embossing Folder in my Stamp Club order and went a little crazy using it for 3 of the projects.

Our first card we simply embossed the white cardstock with the embossing folder, added some pearls and a little Shimmer Paint to highlight the embossed image, stamped our Christmas Sentiment and pop dotted onto our base card of Midnight Muse.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Inkpad - Midnight Muse, Stamp Set - More Merry Messages, Embossing Folder - Northern Flurry, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Pearls

Next we created a Chocolate Gift Holder using the Labels Framelits and embossing.  This one was measured to fit a small Mars Bar.   Tag created by stamping a saying from the Tags til Christmas Stamp Set and just the words cut out and then mounted onto cardstock punched with the Postage Stamp punch.

Supplies used:  Cardstock. Inkpad, Embossing Folder all as above, Labels Framelits, Postage Stamp Punch, Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon, White Twine, Stamp Set - Tags til Christmas, Small piece DSP and hole punches

This card was created by rolling the background with the music wheel, stamping the tree and reindeer in versamark ink and embossing in gold.  We then tore the edge of our card stock and added the other images and finally inked the edges and then the entire card front with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Ink.  Our sentiment was then stamped and lace ribbon added before adding the prepared piece to the front of a base card which had again been embossed with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder (on my sample I added shimmer paint but wasn't too keen on the effect so we didn't do this).

This card would look really lovely using the beautiful Christmas Tree in the Christmas Lodge stamp set, but as I don't have this set I used the Lovely as a Tree set instead.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Inkpads - Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Versamark, Embossing Folder - Northern Flurry, Stamp Sets - various images from Lovely as a Tree, More Merry Messages, Elements of Style, Joyous Celebration, Music Notes Wheel, Victoria Crochet Trim

Our final project.  This one has been around for a very long time.  Thought I would re-create it with some of the new colours, stamp sets and punches etc.

It is a little bit tricky getting your squares adhered together in the right order but once that is worked out - very easy.  Would also make a great table decoration or some of the girls thought nice hanging decorations.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, Snow Festival DSP, Inkpads - Riding Hood Red, Wild Wasabi, Punches - Extra Large Oval, Decorative Label

Birthday Card Compendium Book

I have also just completed this order for a Custom Made Birthday Card Compendium Book.

I have created this one using Floral District Designer Series Paper and matching colours of Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze.

The stamp set I have used on the front cover is one of the new stamp sets. Betsys Blossoms,  available in the Annual Catalogue.

I have uploaded further photos of this book onto my Facebook page, which you can access if you click here.

Getting Ready for Christmas Markets

Well we all know Christmas is just around the corner and I will be attending some markets and fetes leading up to Christmas.  With this in mind I have been creating lots of goodies to take to these outings.  Here are just a few of the little gift cards I have been creating with the Scentsational Season, Ornament Keepsakes and Joyous Celebrations Christmas stamp sets, all available in the Holiday Catalogue.

Here is the list of venues I will be at over the coming months.

November 3rd - Golden Crest Manor Craft Fair

November 25th - Gold Coast Potters Association, Benow Arts and Crafts Market

Early December - The Upper Market, Coomera

I have also put my name down for a stall at the Nerang High School Arts & Crafts Market to be held on 24th November - just waiting on confirmation.

Stamp Club Creations

We started our new Stamp Club this week and these are the projects we created in the Stamp Club workshops.

I am really loving the Holiday Frame Embossing Folder so wanted to create another card using it.  I am also loving the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.  Did you know that you can purchase these two items as a bundle and save 15% on purchasing them separately?

The sentiment is also from a new stamp set More Merry Messages.  Just love this Merry Christmas - what a gorgeous font.  The colours I have used are very simple - Whisper White and Midnight Muse.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Inkpad - Midnight Muse, Stamp Sets - Ornament Keepsakes, More Merry Messages, Dies - Holiday Ornaments Framelits, Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon

Our next project was to create a set of three gift cards.  I have seen a number of different ideas for gift cards recently using the very versatile Scentsational Season stamp set.  Again, you can purchase the stamp set and matching framelits dies in a bundle at a saving of 15%.  I particularly liked the gift cards I had seen which incorporated Crumb Cake as the base card and decided to keep it simple by stamping and die cutting various images to be attached to the front of the card with a simple sentiment.  Very sweet little cards which you can whip up in no time at all.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Inkpad - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Crumb Cake, DSP - Snow Festival, Stamp Sets - Scentsational Season, Merry Christmas Sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments,  Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details

Although we didn't create this project in the workshop I also decided to create a little box to hold the gift cards using the Two Tags Die.  I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, although I didn't follow any instructions so it was a bit of trial and error working out the right sizing etc.  Still I think it is a very cute little gift card holder.

Supplies used:  Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Inkpads - Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Snow Festival DSP, Stamp Sets - Scentsational Season and Joyous Celebration, Dies - Two Tags, Holiday Collection Framelits, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon, Organza Ribbon, In Colour Brad, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine
